Well, we Reconfigured one Cabinet, Installed Granite and a Tumbled Backsplash, Removed Wall Paper , Textured and Painted the Walls , Painted and Glazed the Cabinets, Switched out the Cabinet Hardware, Purchased a new Sink, Faucet and Several new Appliances! What a transformation in this Allen home —
The medium oak stained cabinets felt tired. Like a set of Early American bunk beds. The cabinet over the cooktop was removed. The existing doors were reused on a new vent hood cabinet we built which was taller and deeper. Varying the cabinet heights gave the kitchen a custom touch.
Many males believe it is a crime to paint stained wood. No male was consulted at this address. The crime was committed with Sherwin Williams Divine White. We painted the island cabinet Sherwin Williams Domino Black, just to break things up.
We found a granite we loved — with lots of movement, versus the salt & pepper variety which might as well be Corian. The granite island became a huge piece of art!
SW Latte was selected for the wall color. The Home Owner chose a satin finish on the kitchen walls, in case she was inspired to glaze the walls at a later point. the woodwork throughout the house was painted SW Pure White. Fresh!
Rather than dragging the fun out, we completed this Allen kitchen remodel in two weeks. Quick and affordable!
